Modiform's foundation lies in P.J. Recycling – it started as a recycling company. And we still recycle today. The raw materials that Modiform uses for its products consist largely of recycled plastics. These are supplied by recyclers, and part of the raw materials are recycled by Modiform itself. Modiform takes back used PS trays from customers and recycles them in-house, so they can be used again as raw materials for new trays. In this way, we operate in a fully circular manner and maintain a closed loop.

The recycled plastics are mainly of PCW origin (Post-Consumer Waste from packaging/products that have already been used) and, to a lesser extent, PIW (Post-Industrial Waste from other companies).
Together, we close the material loop and move toward a new plastic-free supply chain. That’s why we’re making it even easier to return polystyrene (PS) trays! Modiform will collect your trays, and you will receive a market-based compensation for them. We recycle the trays in-house and use them to produce new products. You no longer need to dispose of the trays yourself, and the PS is reused. This way, you can easily contribute to closing the materials loop!
