Modiform’s sustainable products take off

ecoExpert nominated for the GreenTech Sustainability Award

ecoExpert and the products of post-consumer/industrial recycled material (including PET and cool grey) are much in demand. The growers and retailers orders for these 100% recycled and recyclable products take off. The plastic products are detectable at the waste processors and can thereby be recycled again. In this way Modiform gives every day recycled material a new life together with customers and chain partners. Menno Krijger (Sales Director Modiform): ‘Sustainable production is part of Modiform's DNA, and we are constantly looking for ways to make improvements. Thereby we enter into partnerships within and outside the industry.’

Modiform’s ecoExpert -made from cardboard- can easily be recycled through the standard recycling system or decompose within a year in nature. ecoExpert has already won multiple sustainability awards in several countries. And now ecoExpert is nominated for the GreenTech Innovations Award in the category ‘Sustainability’. During the official opening ceremony (Tuesday the 11th of June, 8:45 – 9:45 hrs) the winner of the Award will be announced. The ecoExpert concepts (Natural Orchid from Stolk Flora BV and herbs from Herbachef) which were presented to the jury will be displayed at the InnovationLAB, in hall 8.

Would you like to know more about Modiform’s latest innovations and sustainability? Modiform is happy to welcome you at their GreenTech booth (11.204). There you can also see the Thomsen pots, ecoExpert products, inserts, propagation trays, retail trays and much more. Modiform advises you about the right material for every situation. And during the FlowerTrials you can also take a look at Beekenkamp Breeding for Modiform’s moulded pots made from post-consumer recycled material.

Modiform also invites you to the panel discussion 'plastics in horticulture' in which (our colleague) Shaun Herdsman takes part on the 11th of June (15.30-16.30 hrs, hall 10).
